01Storm-ready Google Ads for roofers
When hail or a big wind goes through, roofing searches in those suburbs jump within hours. The roofers who win that week didn't build their ads that morning. Everything was ready and paused, waiting for the call.

storm damage roof repair near mePlain, honest storm ads approved by you before the season, so nobody is writing copy from a roof with a phone in one hand.
Roof leaking after the storm? How much extra you're happy to spend per day, and for how many days, decided while it's calm. When it hits, we switch it on fast.
You stay in control of the spend. We just don't waste the first hours asking.
When your crews are booked for weeks, more calls just mean more people let down. The storm budget comes back down the moment you say so.
The repair work that follows gets its own campaign.
02Roof repairs, restorations and replacements
A leak is urgent and small. A restoration is planned and mid-sized. A metal reroof is a big decision people research for weeks. One generic "roofing" ad can't speak to all three, so roofing PPC splits them, each with its own ad and its own page.
Leaking after the storm? We find the source, make it watertight and send photos of what we fixed.

03Location targeting for roofers
Storms don't hit all of Sydney evenly. A cell can flatten roofs in three suburbs and leave the next one dry. So the storm campaign targets the suburbs and postcodes that were actually hit, using the Bureau of Meteorology warnings and what your phone is telling you, not a 50km circle around your yard.
One setting matters more than most roofers know. Google can show ads to people in your area, or to people merely interested in it. For a roofer, it should be people in or regularly in your suburbs. Otherwise you pay for clicks from someone in Perth reading about the storm.
Outside storm weeks, your normal campaigns cover the suburbs you want work in, with bids raised where jobs are most worth the drive.
Example. Suburbs change with every storm. The rules stay the same.
04Roofing ad copy
Storm weeks bring out ads promising things roofers can't control. Insurers decide claims, not roofers. Ads that suggest otherwise risk misleading customers, and that's not a risk worth taking with your licence or your name.
General information, not legal advice. Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading claims, and NSW rules generally require licensed contractors to show their licence number in advertising. Check with NSW Fair Trading if you're unsure.
05Roofing advertising in Sydney
Negative keywords. "Roof" brings in roof racks, rooftop tents, rooftop bars and people pricing a sheet of iron at the hardware store. Our starting negative list for roofers blocks them, along with jobs, courses and DIY searches, and grows every week from your search terms report.
Local Services Ads. Google has offered Local Services Ads for some trades in some Australian cities, where you pay per lead instead of per click and show a verification badge. If they're available for roofers in your area, they can sit alongside search ads. We check your eligibility rather than promise it.
The map pack. Many homeowners scroll past ads to Google Maps. Ranking there is SEO for roofers, and roofers who run both often use ads for storm weeks while the map does the steady work.

FAQ
What roofers ask us about PPC, storms and budgets.
It's paid advertising that puts your roofing business at the top of Google when people nearby search for roof repairs, restorations or replacements. For roofers it also means a storm campaign that's built in advance, location targeting that follows the damage, honest ad copy and tracking of every call and form.
Ad spend is paid to Google directly and management is separate. Your budget depends on your suburbs, the jobs you want and how much extra you're willing to spend in storm weeks. We don't publish prices. After the free review we suggest a starting budget and quote the management.
It can be, particularly for leak repairs and storm work where people need someone quickly, and for high-value reroofs when the ads lead to a strong page. It isn't when the account pays for roof rack searches, targets the whole city or can't tell which clicks became jobs.
Have a storm campaign built and paused before the season, with ads and a budget already agreed. When a storm hits, switch it on for the affected suburbs, raise the budget for a few days and bring it back down once your crews are booked out.
You can say you provide photos and a written report for the homeowner's insurer. Avoid promising claim approval, that insurance will cover the cost or that you'll pay the excess, because insurers decide claims and those promises can mislead. General information, not legal advice.
Yes. They have different urgency, value and search terms. Separate campaigns or ad groups let each have its own ad, landing page and budget, and show you a cost per lead for each type of roofing job.
Start with roof racks, rooftop tent, rooftop bar, car roof, jobs, apprenticeship, salary, course, DIY, how to, Bunnings, roofing sheets price, second hand and calculator. Then add jobs you don't do and keep adding from the search terms report.
Google has offered Local Services Ads for some trades in some Australian cities, and what's available changes. If roofers in your area can join, it may be worth running alongside search ads. We check eligibility for your business in the review.
Ads give you control in storm weeks and show within days. SEO for roofers builds Google Maps rankings that bring calls without a cost per click, but takes months. Many roofers use both.
